Hard Maple

Also known as sugar maple, it is the main source of maple syrup! The white/creamy sapwood gives way to a brown heartwood. Hard Maple trees have very small hearts, and most of the high grade lumber produced ends up being that white/creamy color. Maple is fairly hard, and often used in flooring, cutting boards, and even baseball bats. Additionally, trim, furniture, and cabinetry are fine uses for this high quality hardwood.
